• Mercury
  • Mercury is 1 element used in amalgam (silver) fillings.
  • We do not have mercury or amalgam present in our office.

• Mercury / Amalgam Removal
  • Utilize a rubber / dental dam.
  • High Volume Evacuator.
  • Saliva ejector placed under the rubber / dental dam.
  • Supplimental oxygen / O2 available.
  • Amalgam is removed whole or in large pieces.

• Fluoride
  • Available on request.
    • Varnish form only.

• Medications / Drugs / Prescriptions
  • Dr. Carothers only prescribes non-narcotic analgesics (pain medication) and antibiotics.
  • Nitrous Oxide (N2O) / Laughing gas is not available or used in our practice.
  • Pre-treatment sedatives would need to be prescribed by your MD or physician.

• Anesthetic
  • Non-epinephrine anesthetic available.
  • Treatment completed with no anesthetic if desired.
